Frontend Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Web Development: convert UI/UX design mockups into clean, responsive, and scalable interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Client-Side Interactions: implement interactive elements and enhance user experience using vanilla JavaScript.
• CMS Content Updates: manage and update website content through the CMS, ensure CMS-based pages maintain brand consistency and layout standards, and coordinate with content/marketing teams for regular updates and improvements.
• Cross-Browser & Device Compatibility: ensure consistent layout and functionality across major browsers and devices.
• Performance Optimisation: improve loading speed, optimise assets, and implement best practices for fast performance.
• Responsive Design: build layouts that adapt seamlessly to desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Collaboration: work with backend developers to integrate frontend components with APIs and data.
• Version Control: use Git for source control and coordinate with the development team.
• Code Quality: write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following industry standards.
• User Experience Focus: proactively suggest improvements to enhance usability and user journey.
• Problem Solving: identify issues, debug problems, and implement effective solutions promptly.
• Testing & QA: conduct thorough testing to ensure UI consistency, accessibility, and error-free functionality.
• Continuous Learning: stay updated with evolving frontend best practices, tools, and standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress, Contentful, Strapi, or similar).
• Basic understanding of UI/UX principles.
• Experience with CSS preprocessors (SASS, LESS).
• Understanding of performance optimisation techniques.
• Portfolio or personal projects demonstrating frontend skills.
