ZEE: Real Corporate Communications Across 15 Channel Pages, and an Honest Answer to a Real Engagement Problem

Managing LinkedIn for one brand is a content calendar. Managing it consistently across 15 real ZEE channel pages, each with its own audience and voice, while being honest that early engagement wasn't yet where it needed to be, is a genuinely different, harder job.

The Brief

ZEE activated LinkedIn pages across 15 distinct channel clusters, Zee Hindi Entertainment, Zee Marathi Entertainment, Zee Kannada Entertainment, Zee Tamil Entertainment, Zee Bengali Entertainment, Zee Odia Entertainment, Zee Telugu Entertainment, Zee Keralam Entertainment, Zee Bhojpuri Entertainment, Zee Punjabi Entertainment, Zee Hindi Movies & Music, Zee English Entertainment, Zee Studios, Zee Live, and Zee Music, each requiring content that felt native to that specific channel's identity, not one message copy-pasted across every page.

The brief covered two real, distinct content pillars: Corporate Branding, channel achievements, company updates, CSR updates, show milestones, project updates, and IP updates, and Employer Branding, employee stories, work culture, organisational updates, leadership updates, and job postings.

The Honest Starting Point

Real, tracked performance data across six months showed genuine content activity: engagement, reach, and impressions rose substantially from October through March, tied to real moments like Diwali, World TV Day, channel launches, and Republic Day. But the review didn't stop at celebrating that growth. It stated plainly what still wasn't working: “although we have started to put out content, the engagement and followers on the page are still too low.”

Why stating the problem honestly mattered as much as the content itself. A real recap of performance numbers is useful. A recap that also says the follower base and engagement still aren't where they need to be, then proposes a specific new strategy to fix it, is the difference between a status report and an actual account partnership.
