ibs Fulcro's role:
The brief
Pearson has been present in India for many years, with a diverse product offering that went well beyond book publishing, much of it unknown to its own customers. Each business line had built out its own website over time. The sites had different looks and different designs, and didn't read as belonging to one company. Pearson needed these disparate websites consolidated into a single entity, one that highlighted the shared heritage and brand promise running underneath all of it.
36 websites became one, and that's an architecture problem first
Consolidating Pearson's 36 sites onto Adobe Experience Manager only worked because the information architecture was unified before any page was rebuilt. If your brand is running multiple disconnected sites right now, that's usually a bigger source of inconsistency than any individual page's design.
The solution
ibs Fulcro re-platformed all 36 existing websites onto Adobe Experience Manager, integrating the existing content into a new information architecture that let the marketing team add and update content with ease.
We worked directly with each existing Pearson business unit to develop an information architecture that brought together content from disparate sites, giving each business appropriate weight while managing the organisation's overall priorities.
Adobe Experience Manager's Digital Assets Management gave the team a central repository for creative assets, used consistently across pages. The platform integrated with Salesforce and a proprietary CRM for recording and tracking customer interest, alongside Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics for measuring user engagement across content categories and audience segments.
