AEO Agency India Getting Brands Cited in AI Answers
ibs Fulcro is an AEO agency working with enterprise brands across India. We run answer engine optimization, generative engine optimization, and the technical SEO foundation underneath both as one connected discipline.
How an AEO agency compares to the alternatives
Most brands evaluating AEO are really choosing between three different models, not comparing agencies against each other. Here's the honest breakdown of what each one is actually good at.
| ibs Fulcro | SEO agency, AEO add-on | In-house build | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it is | AI specialist practice built on industry-leading tools and 23 years of technical SEO | AEO bolted onto an existing SEO retainer | Your team builds tracking and content from scratch |
| Tracking depth | Velivo One AEO. No cap on prompts tracked per client. JK Tyre alone ran 53,535 | Usually a fixed, limited prompt count, if tracked at all | Depends entirely on internal tooling |
| Prompt universe method | SEMrush volume run through our calibrated methodology, plus prior and fan-out query analysis | Varies. Often branded-search metrics relabelled as AEO | Requires building a volume method from zero |
| Content discipline | E-E-A-T content with schema, TL;DR blocks, and FAQs, optimized on a loop against data | Same SEO content lightly adjusted for AI, published at volume | Requires building the discipline in-house first |
| Off-page work | Listicles, original research, paid trade placements, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Reddit, run by our PR team | Rarely extends past the client's own site | Usually out of scope entirely |
| Deployment speed | Bulk schema, JSON-LD, and content changes pushed programmatically | Manual, page by page, through the existing CMS workflow | Depends on internal engineering bandwidth |
| Best fit | An enterprise brand that wants AEO run with SEO-grade rigor from one vendor | A brand happy with its SEO agency that wants AI visibility bolted on | A brand with the resourcing to build this permanently, no urgency |
We build the tooling. We don't just apply a checklist to your site.
If the second or third model is genuinely the better fit for where you are, we'll say so on the first call.

What an AEO agency in India actually does
Most agencies selling AEO in 2026 added it as a line item to an existing SEO retainer, with no dedicated tooling underneath it. Here's what we actually run, in order.
Research the category the way buyers actually search
People's search behaviour doesn't change just because an LLM is answering them. What changes is the prompt itself. Buyers write longer prompts and give more context than they would in a traditional search box.
Analyze priors and fan-out queries
A single prompt rarely maps to a single retrieval. We map the prior queries and fan-out variations behind a prompt to understand what the model is actually searching for and citing against, not just the surface-level question a buyer typed.
Diagnose why you're not ranking
Once the prompt universe and retrieval pattern are mapped, we check for:
Build content for E-E-A-T and LLM extraction
Schema, TL;DR blocks, summary content, and FAQs. Not generic SEO copy relabelled.
Run the off-page layer
Deploy at the speed our tools allow
We run Velivo One SEO, integrating GA4, Google Search Console, and Lighthouse Insights, for continuous scanning. When a bulk change to schema, JSON-LD, or page content is needed across many pages, we push it programmatically instead of one page at a time by hand.
We run all of this as one connected practice, built on 23 years of technical SEO work for enterprise clients including Pearson, Tata Tele Business Services, Bajaj Electricals, and Morphy Richards. Not a bolt-on service. Not a content mill.
What ₹75,000 to ₹2,50,000 a month actually buys
Every serious AEO vendor in India prices by scope, not a flat card rate. Ours runs ₹75,000 to ₹2,50,000 per month, depending on:
Prompt volume
How many real buyer questions we're tracking and measuring mention rate against
Content volume
How many pages or answer blocks get restructured or built per month
Technical depth
A full crawlability and schema audit across an existing site, versus running against a smaller, cleaner base
We'll tell you which end of that range your brand needs on a scoping call. We'll also tell you if a smaller, cheaper engagement is the honest answer for where you are.
Not sure which end of that range fits? Talk to us for a no-obligation scoping call.
Real client results and research
Real client results
JK Tyre reported a 17.8% mention rate
A full AEO/GEO audit measured across 53,535 generic buyer prompts. It honestly reported a 7th-of-9 rank among tracked brands. Not a curated result.
Nayara Energy is a current AEO engagement
An active AI Search Visibility engagement, not a case study we're hoping to write. The discipline we sell is the discipline we run for our own current clients.

Our own research
The Owned-Citation Gap study
Original research on where AI engines cite someone else's page about a brand instead of the brand's own page. A real, structural finding about how AI citation actually works. Published under our name, linkable, and open to scrutiny.
AEO Prompt Volume Estimation Methodology
Keyword tools measure typed search queries. They do not measure AI prompt volume. In the applications we tested, they overstate it by 5.6 to 6x. We published the method, not a black-box number.
Industry-leading tools we rely on
Velivo One AEO
Velivo One AEO, the AEO tracking platform we rely on for every engagement, not a one-off dashboard. No cap on prompt volume per client. Semantic variations get caught instead of sampled around. JK Tyre's own audit above ran 53,535 prompts on it. That's the depth we run as standard. It is not the exception.
Velivo One SEO
The technical SEO platform we rely on, integrating GA4, GSC, and Lighthouse Insights. A continuous scan-and-optimize loop across technical SEO health, not a one-time audit that goes stale the month after it's delivered.
Real, original research, not borrowed frameworks
Most agencies in this category lead with a named framework as a marketing device. We publish genuine, methodologically rigorous research under our own name instead.
The ibs Fulcro AI Search Visibility Methodology: A Canonical Reference
How we actually measure AI search visibility: prompt sampling, the brand-anchored vs. unprompted distinction, citation share, rank-decay scoring, the 6 AI engines tested, and the real limitations.
How to Estimate AEO Prompt Volume: A Calibrated Method
Keyword tools overstate addressable AEO demand by 5.6 to 6x. A four-stage method for sizing real prompt volume from first-party data.
The Owned-Citation Gap: What Five AI Visibility Scans Reveal About Who AI Actually Recommends
Five independent AI visibility scans across cement, oral care, health drinks, paint, and whisky show the same pattern. Owned-citation share, not rank or sentiment, is the real constraint on AI recommendation.
"Average Position" Is Quietly Broken as an AI Visibility Metric
A brand mentioned twice at rank 1 reports a "perfect" average position, indistinguishable from one that dominates every prompt. The failure mode, and a visibility score that fixes it.

How this actually runs
| Step | What happens | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| 01. Prompt universe sizing | SEMrush volume run through our calibrated methodology | A prompt universe sized for how people actually search, not a keyword tool's inflated number |
| 02. Prior and fan-out analysis | Map the prior queries and fan-out variations behind each prompt | The real retrieval pattern, not a guess from the prompt text alone |
| 03. Track with Velivo One AEO | No cap on prompts tracked per client. JK Tyre's audit alone ran 53,535 | A current mention-rate baseline built from volume, not a spot-check |
| 04. Diagnose the gaps | Crawlability, structured-data mismatches, missing E-E-A-T, unextractable content | A concrete list of why you're not showing up |
| 05. Build and optimize content | Schema, TL;DR blocks, summary content, and FAQs, continuously optimized against data | Content an AI engine can actually lift and cite |
| 06. Run the off-page layer | Listicles, original research, LinkedIn/YouTube distribution, Reddit and community management | Citation-authority sources beyond your own site |
| 07. Re-measure and report | Same prompt set, tracked over time on Velivo One AEO (formerly Velivo Radar), reported honestly either way | A trend line you can hold us accountable to |
This is the same method behind the JK Tyre audit above. We're not describing a different process for the page than the one that produced the number we're citing.

What to check before you sign an AEO retainer with anyone, including us
This is the section most agencies skip. It's the one that lets you catch a weak vendor before you pay them.
Ask what session the reading came from
A signed-in account in one city is not evidence of what a buyer somewhere else actually sees. Ask whether measurement comes from a signed-out session, and whether it's run from India specifically.
Ask what the report actually contains
A useful report names which prompts you're cited on, which you lost, what content shipped that month, and how that maps to actual Search Console and referral data. A report that's just a dashboard screenshot isn't a report.
Ask who owns the content once the retainer ends
Some agencies build on their own platform. Ask directly whether the content and structured data become yours, permanently, regardless of what happens to the relationship.
Price in prompt volume and content volume, not headline retainer
A ₹50,000/month retainer that ships two restructured pages a month will not move a category. A ₹1,50,000/month retainer that runs against 100 real prompts and ships fifteen might. Compare on that basis, not the number on the invoice.
We'll answer all four of these on a first call, about our own work, honestly. That includes cases where the honest answer isn't the most flattering one.
Common questions before the first call
An AEO agency makes a brand discoverable and citable inside AI-generated answers, on engines like ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, and Perplexity, not just traditional search rankings. That means defining a real set of generic, unprompted buyer questions. It means measuring how often and how favourably a brand gets mentioned against that prompt set. It means fixing structured data and crawlability so AI systems can actually read a site, and restructuring content so a direct answer can be extracted and cited accurately.
AEO, or Answer Engine Optimization, is structuring content so AI systems can extract and cite a direct answer. GEO, or Generative Engine Optimization, is the broader discipline of getting a brand recommended inside AI-generated responses across the full range of generative engines. In practice the two overlap heavily. We run them as one connected discipline, not two separate services.
By tracking unprompted mention rate. That means how often a brand is cited on generic category questions where nobody typed the brand's name. Branded searches prove almost nothing. JK Tyre's AEO/GEO audit measured mention rate across 53,535 generic buyer prompts and reported a 17.8% mention rate, ranking 7th of 9 tracked brands. A real number, not a curated result.
₹75,000 to ₹2,50,000 per month, scoped by prompt volume, content volume, and technical depth. We'll tell you which end of that range fits your brand on a scoping call, and we'll say directly if a smaller engagement is the right answer for where you are right now.
ibs Fulcro works with brands across India. Current and recent clients include Hindustan Zinc, Tata Tele Business Services, Hero MotoCorp, Airtel, JK Tyre, PepsiCo, Valvoline, Bajaj Auto, Panasonic, and Polycab. ibs Fulcro also works with Mumbai-headquartered clients like Tata Motors. These are real named engagements across the country.
Yes. Original, methodologically rigorous research is one of the strongest citation-authority assets a brand can build. Our published AEO research includes a working AEO prompt volume estimation methodology and the Owned-Citation Gap study. Real, linkable, and attributed by name, not a marketing framework.
An SEO agency doing AEO usually adds it as a line item to an existing retainer, without dedicated tooling behind it. We run industry-leading tools built for this work. Velivo One AEO for AEO tracking and Velivo One SEO, which integrates GA4, GSC, and Lighthouse, for continuous technical scanning, both from Velivo AI. We automate bulk schema, JSON-LD, and content deployment programmatically instead of page by page. We also don't publish AI-generated content for the sake of volume. Content gets built for E-E-A-T and continuously optimized against real data, not churned out to hit a page count.
